About Crizal Prevencia lenses

Crizal Prevencia lenses are the result of several years of research conducted in collaboration with the Vision Institute in Paris, which assisted us in developing the first clear lenses that selectively filter blue-violet light, thereby reducing its potentially harmful effects on the eyes.

Protect your vision

Blue light is everywhere—on computer screens, smartphones, tablets, and fluorescent bulbs—and the sun is the primary source of it. Some of it is beneficial, such as Beneficial Blue Light (blue turquoise and defined as 465-495 nm on the light spectrum), which aids in the regulation of the sleep cycle, mood, and cognitive performance.

Long-term and continuous exposure to Harmful Blue Light (or blue-violet light) can, however, contribute to long-term eye damage. People with a family history of AMD or who show signs of AMD, as well as working professionals, children, teens, and gamers, are at the greatest risk.

Crizal Prevencia lenses reduce harmful blue light exposure while allowing beneficial blue-turquoise light to pass through. They also have all of the advantages of no-glare lenses. Crizal Prevencia lenses can help protect your eyes from blue-violet light.

Anti Glare Lenses

Anti-glare glasses have an anti-reflective (AR) coating, which is a fine layer on the surface of the glasses and improves your vision, reducing the amount of glare that reflects off your eye lens.

Glare is to blame for some eye-related issues, such as poor visibility in low lighting, which can be dangerous when driving at night.

Aside from that, seeing halos around bright lights can cause headaches if your eyes are exposed to too much glare for an extended period of time, such as while working in front of a computer.

An anti-glare coating, also known as an anti-reflective coating, allows almost 100% of the light to reach your eyes, reducing glare. The goal of these glasses is to reduce excess brightness and its effect on your eyes.

When do we need AntiI-Glare Lenses?

Because the anti-reflective coating reduces the amount of light reflected by your glasses, everyone can benefit from getting anti-glare lenses, especially those who:

Work consistently with computers, as prolonged computer use can strain their eyes.

Drive frequently, whether at night (when glare from oncoming traffic's headlights can make it difficult to see) or during the day (when bright sunlight can have the same effect)

Work in direct sunlight.

Anyone who wears glasses should consider getting anti-glare lenses because they will be useful in all situations. Anti-glare glasses are especially important for people who wear UV protection lenses or high-index lenses (thinner, lighter lenses for nearsightedness), as these glasses reflect more light than regular lenses.
